Engagement Add-Ons

Heat Watch leaders connect with dozens, often hundreds of local community members interested in participating. As data collection roles are limited in number, the following options provide a meaningful way to expand community engagement while generating deeper environmental insights and social data.

Each service can be performed separately or combined together with a Heat Watch campaign.

Thermal Site Survey

Using thermal imagery cameras, campaign participants investigate heat at several key ‘places of interest’ across the study area by taking photographs and responding to a set of tailored prompts and questions.

In Heat Watch Bandung, respondents shared personal experiences with heat and ideas for mitigative actions at dozens of locations through a Thermal Site Survey.

Results are compiled by CAPA into an interactive web-map and integrated with campaign results.

Heat Perception Survey

A Heat Perception Survey is an ideal tool to leverage outreach and better understand how heat is impacting communities. CAPA provides a customizable set of questions, based on best practices in social-scientific research, on heat-related topics:

Results will be provided to you in a survey report, including compelling statistics and visuals, and can be integrated with Heat Watch findings.
